Hi People:

I am sure this topic has been discussed before, but I am not sure where to look... How does a KJ Liberty owner go about getting his/her speedometer/odometer adjusted after installing larger tires/wheels. I am thinking about using the wheels and tires commonly found on the Jeep Wrangler series - the 18" ones. Are the bolt patterns the same?

I am thinking hard about the 18" Wheel because it will allow me to install an aftermarket performance brake system, (Brembo, Willwood, etc.) and still clear the inside of the wheels.

I know I will probably require a lift, but I am hoping that a 2.5" lift will be enough, as my mother and wife are the principle drivers of the two CRD models I own. Regarding the various aftermarket lifts available, how are KJ owners liking the JEEPIN'BYAL products? :JEEPIN:

Any feedback would be gratefully accepted.

Jeff

The revs/mile need to be set in both the BCM and ACM via a DRBIII or starscan.

the newer jeep 18" wheels are 5x5 and the KJ is 5x4.5 (the MK wheels are still 5x4.5 however, but I don't think they have a 18" wheel option)

I am running 255/75r17 off a JK using OME springs and shocks (you can get these from jeepinbyal)

I had to get wheel adapters (200 bucks)

So you can do it yeah, but you will want to regear to 4.10 with anything in the 31+ inch range tires (which should correct ODO, not speedo) and still get rev's per mile calibrated if I am not mistaken.
