I've been caught up on the lip of my rear diff awhile ago. So I've been looking for solution. Alas I've found... Image
http://www.quadratec.com/products/580-125.htm

I also plan on getting the Riddler Cover to go with it.

The question I have is this. Do you think it will work on the KK? The glider is designed for XJ/ZJ 8.25 diffs. Do y'all also think it wil work in conjunction with the Riddler cover?
I'm not to fluent with the intricacies of rear diff and drive shafts.

Well I went ahead and bought both. I'll let you know how they fit together in about a month or so. Hopefully it works out, I hate returning stuff.

They should work together. Worst case keep stock cover and have glide on. The stock covers are surprisingly strong considering.

Do you think you'll get any rattle from it because of the way the front is mounted?

I hope not. I know the Riddler has recessed pockets for the screws, and the stock is flat. But I'm going to try and make it fit if it's close. If it doesn't work I'll have to return one. The problem with returning the riddler is I will have painted it before I put it on. The Diff glider comes prepainted so it'll be easier to return. I want both though  .

Why not fit the riddlre first with a few bolts and the glider then paint the riddler.

From the looks of it that slider will not work with the Riddler cover, most likely will not work with most cast covers due to how the covers themselfs are made.

I want a better paint coat and I can't let my jeep sit for a few day while it dries.

I think so too. But I think I might be able to find a way to use longer screws and some sort of spacers to fit the glider over the recessed holes of the riddler. I may have to bend the gliders rear brackets aswell. I just hope it works. I want the benefits of both. The glider will come in real handy as we have a lot of rocks here, as I've said i've already been caught once by the lip of the diff.

 Maybe if I win the lottery or I destroy my 8.25.I just don't have that kind of money, and if I did I doubt my wife would let me spend it right now. In the mean time I hope I'll be able to improvise someway to make it work. I plan on joining my local jeep club for a run on July 20th, and I'm still one of the smallest jeeps out there. I need all the armor I can get to survive.

Just a thought is all and it's really not as expensive as you may think. One can be had for the cost of a brand new 8.25,sure not a whole lot of bells and whistles like a ARB and 35 spline axles. The "generic" G2 RockJock is still made by Currie and I've seen them as low as $2200 depending on options.

What do you plan to do about the big vibration dampener and its mount?

Good question? I actually didn't take that into account, I was thinking the XJ's had the same thing.

Well the glider arrived today.I may work on it tomorrow. I crawled under it quickly and it looks like it will fit if I just remove the metal vibration damper. Has anyone removed it before? If so, does it just unbolt off? How did it affect the drive? If no one has yet, then what do y'all hypothesize would happen if I remove it?

I surmise they will just unbolt. They may have some Loctite to fight through.

I would also caution that the jeep engineers hung that hideous thing there for a problem that they couldn't just work around.
