I don't know if anyone has used this particular one, but there are bluetooth scanners on sale at newegg today for $10.79. I don't own and haven't used that one, but it might be worth $11 to see if it works!

Gee, I wonder what country that would come from at such a price. That, and the level of quality in function or build.

Does anyone know of a bluetooth OBDII adapter that will reliably work with an iPhone?

No. You can, however, get a wifi ELM 327 adapter that does work with iOS.

Mine has the same blue & orange label as the bluetooth version, but says wifi on it.

Do you use it with your computer or are you running an app on an iPhone to check your readings?

iPhone - EngineLink. Has a couple customizable 'pages' for gauges.

I'm just regurgitating what I've read elsewhere here, but it costs a great deal to get hardware 'certified' to work with apple products. The dollar return on getting a bluetooth receiver certified with apple has, thus far, not been deemed worth it for manufacturers. It would basically price them out of the competitive market on bluetooth OBDII readers, so they don't do it yet.

There is an option for iPhone/iPad/Macintosh computers...the Lemur BlueDriver. It costs $99 for the scanner, and about $50 for the app to read the data...

If your iPhone is jailbroken, it should read any bluetooth OBDII reader.

Jon - Android guy, not iPhone guy...
