Hey guys....
I came across this on E-bay and thought I'd post a link. I figured someone might be interested in a used 2.8 CRD block.

That would be a great project for someone with the 9599 kit to make some $$ with time.

I don't have that kind of time honestly.

I thought the same thing. I saw this listed and was thinking of getting one to rebuild and sell (or keep as a spare). The tool kit would be needed, I think. Anyone have the kit for sale? I may be interested in buying an entire kit to have at some point...

Shipping from Utah - ouch.

Still watching it, though.

Meh, I might be able to work through shipping, I work for a railroad and we get about 80% off from UPS Freight.

ROFL.

Shipping from Utah isn't that bad. He already states that it will be freight, so if it is put onto a pallet and secured, an LTL (Less than Truck Load) truck shipment from Utah to anywhere could be as low as $100. Put the job (if you are the buyer or have anything else big to ship) out for bid on uship.com and see what happens.

You describe the load, the start and end points, whether you need liftgate or forklift services, whether it is going to/from a dock or driveway... And the shipping dispatchers will contact you with offers. I had my engine shipped (after being crated badly) for $175 from Texas to South Florida - it arrived in 3 days and decent condition. The problems were NOT caused by the shipping carrier, they were caused by the shipper who was pissed I wasn't paying HIM to install the engine.

Hexus, you are a lucky bastage. You get to play with big boy trains and save money on UPS? I'm jealous. 8)

I've shipped freight before using Freightquote.com. A little over $100 from Maryland to Montana - unfortunately they ignored the "Top Load Only" all over the shipment and I had to put in a claim.

Where they really ding you is delivery to a residence or to the ground. If you can pick it up at the freight depot it's pretty reasonable.
