He already states that it will be freight, so if it is put onto a pallet and secured, an LTL (Less than Truck Load) truck shipment from Utah to anywhere could be as low as $100. Put the job (if you are the buyer or have anything else big to ship) out for bid on uship.com and see what happens.
You describe the load, the start and end points, whether you need liftgate or forklift services, whether it is going to/from a dock or driveway... And the shipping dispatchers will contact you with offers. I had my engine shipped (after being crated badly) for $175 from Texas to South Florida - it arrived in 3 days and decent condition. The problems were NOT caused by the shipping carrier, they were caused by the shipper who was pissed I wasn't paying HIM to install the engine.
