Just signed up and looking for the link to a service manual for the 2005 CRD Liberty.
Just got the Green Eng. Eco on the computer, but cannot get the Lib to turn over. No power to the starter, Interrupter light on, no check engine light.
Any help appreciated.

Get back on the phone with Kieth at GDE he usually is very helpful in situations like this. But the link to the manuals is KJ Manual and might want to go through Sams Noob Guide. It is full of huge amounts of CRD knowledge and suggested for all new members. Oh and let's not forget welcome to LOST.

Did you use the tuner or R&R the ECU? If you R&R'd, you probably did not get all the pins fully seated or left the key on when you removed the ECU.

Thanks for the warm welcome. And thanks for the searching guidelines...Keith suggested to find the manual here and I will post the solution, once found.
What started this whole process is when my daughter was driving home from a friends home, she got 1/2 mile and the Lib just died. I tried jumping off, but no CEL, no action from the starter.
We replaced the ignition switch, as a blind start, but no luck. We then reset the computer, we thought, by leaving off the negative cable for 30 minutes. Nothing, and still no CEL and the shop tool would not read the codes, which I have two in normal cases, which are the communication errors for cylinders 2 and 3.
The R&R is in the process of being done. Should get the cpu with ECO tune back today, or tomorrow and will start with the list of: neutral switch, cam sensor, key reprogram, starter relay, and put the battery on a full trickle charge tonight.
When Keith from GRD put the unit in his Lib, all was good...so now I have to figure out why it would not give me a CEL and the Interrupter Light stayed on....and no turnover.
Looking forward to reporting the improvement in MPG and the amount of contrail left when blowing it out, once a week....

You should come right with all the advice from Keith etc. but the first thing to get the engine to turnover is to jumper pins 30 and 87 in the Starter relay socket...this bypasses the ignition key, the starter relay and the interlocks for Neutral, Park etc.

Do you have the SKIS system installed? This will give you a "key" symbol with a line through it for a few seconds when you turn on the ignition....should not "flash' or stay ON.

Yeah I was also wondering what this "interrupter" light was all about....thought it had something to do with the GF turning on the cabin lights to adjust her makeup while I was trying to get some diagnostics going!

The GDE mod computer went back in finally this weekend at Frank's in Greensboro, NC. We tried to check the NPS by moving the gear selector to R and checking the back up lights, and they were on...according to another Jeep mechanic, Gentry, here in GSO, if the neutral switch is foul then the lights will not come on.
Frank, got power to the starter and it would turn over, but not start....I am thinking ok, that means the starter is working and that's about it. He was thinking that all diesels should start if turning over...my thinking is that this has limited value.
I am towing it to another mechanic, Gentry, in Greensboro tomorrow, to let them have a shot.
The service manual takes you right through most of the checks, which I supplied to Frank, but I think they were still using the subjective method of hunt and peck to see what was wrong.
Sad to have lost 3 weeks while they messed around with the Lib, but there you go, even nice guys can mess up too.
Glad to say I got with you guys on this, and the GDE Eco Tune...just cannot wait for my first trip to MS, 800 miles one way from here...to play with and report MPG, vs steady MPH cruising.

Welcome to LOST. Although not exactly near Greensboro....I am in Raleigh so only a little over an hour away. If you have trouble with mechanics in GSO....I can recommend Global Off Road and Diesel here in Raleigh. They did my timing belt change and charged a very fair price for the labor. A little far but could be an option. Their number is (919) 784-0411 and ask for Jerry.

Ok, called Jim in Raleigh.
He said to check all the fuses. Which we will do today. And if there is a blown fuse, we need to find out why.

At the garage, they called in a guy with a laptop that can communicate with the different modules and it could not communicate with the Power Control Module or the Transmission Module, but could talk to the Theft Security Module. That Module had three codes, that stated the PCM had a connection fault, duh, and the Sentry Key Immoblizer System had a fault, and Tranny module had a power connection fault as well. So for $85 to this guy, we got what? I asked him, and he said that it could take an hour to find or 40 and never find....I told him thanks for nothing.
Will check the ignition switch to see if the other garage, Frank Burroughs on N. Church St, did what he said...strange that he had no replaced part for me when his guys gave me the bill...I will always ask in the future.
