Update on these racks for you guys with new pricing and minor changes. The racks will ship with cleaner looking set screws, foam rubber camper shell tape to go between the body a mounting feet, and black silicone sealant for the sleeve connection. They also have a total of six light tabs, four in the front and two in the rear. They racks are rock solid with everything tightened down and do not squeek or rattle whatsoever. The 'floor' of the rack gives about 15.5 sq ft of extra storage space.
Price of the racks is $325 FREE SHIPPING via usps. They come bare steel ready for the coating of your choice.
I have one ready to go, but I'm moving at the the end of the month. After I get my new shop set up, I'll be ready to take more orders. Pm me if you want this one. If its already taken, I can put your name on the list and they will be completed in order.

The rack is super strong and sturdy. I was able to sit on the wheel mounted on the rack and drink beer and hang out, with no sagging at all. When driving, the rack does not squeak or rattle whatsoever, as long as everything is tightened down.

Disclaimer: the lights have since been run from the taking of the picture. I'll posts tires of them elsewhere when I can.

Thanks Atthehelm for making all tjis stuff for our KK's. Next year I'm planning on getting one of your front bumpers. And now I have something else I might need.
I have a posdisble suggestion for your next project.I was reading on JBAs face book page that there is a demand for tube doors for the KK, at least from me. Something that would help maintain the strength of the unibody and offer a little protection with the doors off. Do you think this would be a possibility?

hows your wind noise?

Wind noise is not bad at all with the rack itself. Even with the lights on the noise/resistance is negligable. Once I mounted the tire, my wind noise when I have the sunroof open and driving 40 mph plus, is horrible. The wind pretty much hits the tire, rolls downward and comes right in through the sun roof, hitting me in the face. With the sunroof closed, I can barely hear the wind noise over the road noise of my tires and exhaust. The handling has changed a bit going around corners, but nothing you can't get used to.

I'll keep it in mind 8) I'd need some convincing about the demand though.

I can help convince you... Or even better would be something like the half doors RL was promising a month ago!

Well the demand was for wk/xks, but I think there would be similar for kks. I really want something to prevent my doors from scratching and to protect my doors from denting if/when I finally lay it on its side.

The rails you made me are so beast. I painted them a few weeks ago. Just waiting for a friend of mine to weld a few things so I can mount my design. I'm making an off-road capable roof basket that is compatible with the sky slider without looking dumb and lifting 6" above the car on stilts. I'll post pictures as I cut and bolt stuff. Definitely just wanted to say thank you for the rails. They are absolutely crucial.

I seriously want this roof rack but I already have the RRO Roof rails.. If I could sell em I would just to buy this rack.

Morgan, would you be able to weld the rest of the rack onto RRO's bars if I shipped them out to you? I have no idea how expensive shipping would be.

Morgan,

Do you make this rack in a model compatible with a Sky Slider?

Thanks!

Matt
