Just got done R&R'ing the steering rack on the Libby. Wasn't hard but another set of hands would have made things go a bit quicker.
Steering's nice and tight again and no puddles of fluid on the garage floor. I enjoy wrenching but I'm in the mood to do some FUN mods - like some armor, gears, blah blah blah.
Am I whining yet...?

Should of yelled I would of teletransported ( is that a word) myself over
Yes when are you going to finally do those gears

Oh and do you have the "ring" on the ball joint below the spindle and above the nut or between the spindle and the ball joint boot??
Oh believe me, I thought about calling you. Wasn't sure when the package was going to arrive - as it was it didn't show till about 1:30 so a bit later than FedEx usually gets here. Appreciate your willingness to drive over here!
If you're talking about the washer for the JBA arms, I put it between the nut and the bottom of the spindle which is what JBA's instructions indicate. Didn't seem to make sense to put it on the top between the ball joint boot and the spindle. Am I wrong though - do I have it in the wrong spot? I'm still not happy with the alignment - I took it to my local shop to check the toe-in after putting in the rack (they adjusted it) and the spec sheet still shows the left caster at 2.89 (red) and the right caster at 1.03 (red.) I love the way it rides and feels up front now but I'm a bit OCD when it comes to alignments.
Hey Chris - no fun doing that job in the snow like that! It was a bit "thick" with humidity here yesterday - the way I sweat through my clothes is enough to scare puppies and small children - but I'll take that over frostbite any day
