Welcome aboard!

On another note...

Gonna install my new 4X Guard tranny skid from JBA tonight. Really impressed with the construction - CONSIDERABLY heavier than the factory skid I've got under there now. Have to be careful I don't drop it on my head when installing it :dizzy:

Bob

Did ya say something to me?!?!?!?!
:goink:

No no no do drop it on your head, it's a great way to test it out!
:dizzy:
:jester:

Nah, I'd never direct a comment like that toward you - I don't think
Hart, you've been nothing but gracious - half a bubble off, maybe - but still gracious.

Bolting up that new trans skid I did need the floor jack - my manly upper body must be failing me. Dang near did drop it on my head - though I should've so I could report on the accuracy of the "BugginKJ" test

Did run into some installation issues - I've pm'd the Rev. Mudd to get his thoughts.

Bob

Tom, how do you avoid "hyperflashing" with the LED turns? Did you put in a resistor?

Love the look - I was a bit skeptical about the Matrix replacing the ARB but I really like what you've done with it. After getting JBA's trans skid I'm really impressed with the build quality. Hmmm, yet ANOTHER mod on my list... :JEEPIN:

wired in resister from superbrightleds.com
one per side took care of the fast flash issues

almost look like they are mounted up into the headlight housing but they are below it
But running them for the weekend and then already have another idea on mounting
thinking of frenching them into the body, blend some old school into it
also will start cutting up a flat hood for metal next week
plans laid out in my head we'll see how it turns out :-)r :-)r

Hey Chris..... :goink: :goink: :goink: :ROTFL:

I know some of you may not really care, but talked to a buddy at dealership yesterday, Crhysler is still in limbo over how to process the gas tank/rear hitch recal on the Libbys. Maybe next year before anything official comes to light.
On a funny note, he sent me all the vehicle history on our Libby. They had it recorded as 235,000 miles....that is the funniest thing I heard all week, maybe all year. This thing will never reach that milestone, I will be happy it it hits 120K.

Clearly the laws and/or enforcement are jacked up...they let you in.

I am allowed anywhere from sea to shining sea.
My family or parts of it rather, were here long before you crusty folks stepped foot ashore and stole it.
Or maybe that was the rest of my family that sold their souls to some independence idea.
Whichever, this card I carry says so, that is as long as I call this number 24 hours ahead of time and let some rather strict folks know :goink:

So the Reverend Mudd goes away for the weekend and none of the rest of us want to talk...? :ROTFL: Actually, I was out of town till earlier this afternoon but thought I'd stop by and say Howdy.

Friday I worked out a deal on a set of modified BoulderBars from AZScout here on LOST. Pretty sweet - he had All J's make them longer so they run from wheel well to wheel well front to back (protects the flares.) They also added angled tubing similar to Rock Lizard's to protect the bottom of the doors. Can't wait to put them on.

How's everybody doin'?

Bob

I was going to paint my rock rails but the mornings were too cold and the afternoons too busy. Can we ever get an "average" day of weather in this state?

Doing well. Just had a little party for my 6 year old and his buddies at putt putt. Great time, loved watching all the kids "get their wiggles out". As, Nacho would say. Lol.

Looks awesome Ted! Really glad you had the gang help out with welding up the rack - looks like it was a good day ('cept for the PITA gas tank skid, eh?) That hammered black is my favorite color.

Seriously! Froze my butt off yesterday morning but three days earlier sweat was rolling down my face like I was a fat kid in a buffet line...

Now that's funny right there! Nothing like being with kids when they are allowed to just be kids. Seems like they're asked to grow up to fast these days. Glad they got their wiggles out :ROTFL: :ROTFL:

I couldn't have don't it without them, BIG THANKS to Hart for the great weld job. I hope the "medicine" I brought with me was enough to kill the headache from the skid plate.
There isn't much left till she's done. Turn the backbone into a bumper, back bumper with tire fuel and jack mounts, tires and rims. Hopefully, I'll be able to use it on an expedition someday.
