 Post subject: front end clunking noises

so I just replaced the front upper control arm ball joint lower control arm ball joint as well as the intermediate driveshaft and I'm getting a new unusual clunking on the front end what might it be? it sounds as though it's coming from the passenger side front almost like a stutter noise

Are you getting it on hard bumps or when the suspension goes full droop?

Have you gone back and retightened sway bar nuts, strut mounts, ect?

Loosen the sway bar links and then retorque with all the weight of the Jeep down on the wheels. See if that fixes it.

The links have been a recurring irritant for me - don't know why they keep loosening and creating noises. :x

I still have noise. I re-torqued the lower ball joints, tie rod end links, sway bar end links and sway bushing mounts. I'll try the upper ball joints next weekend. This is annoying. :banghead:

alright I have a new noise now everytime I see the bump and I go back down to level ground it clunks front passenger side almost like a rattle noise

is it possible to hear the noise while you are under it with someone pushing up and down on that side? Maybe also smacking things with a big rubber mallet while under it could isolate the rattle sound?
