I test drive the new Cherokee today... V4 trail-haul with leather seat...$38000 w NAV, rear view camera... :dead: and the 1" lift too! :grim:
When he ask me what car did you drive? I proudly said the KK :JEEPIN:

I wouldn't spend that much money on such a small Jeep.
KK is biggest although the ride is not as good...(STOCK ONE)...
But with the money I spent to upgrade the jeep
1. DIY Leather Seat
2. DIY remote start
3. DIY NAV
4. DIY rear view camera
5. OME lift
6. Roof light
7. Awning
8. tow hitch
9. Jet chip 2 stage
10. Gibson Exhaust
11. K&N intake
Total cost for all the was less than $31500

What do you guys think?

I built one on Jeep.com, and I found that for all the options I want, that I'd be approaching well-appointed GC territory. Doesn't make a lot of sense. I understand the Trailhawk is a specialty vehicle with the rear locker and lift. I hope they sell, for Jeep's sake, but they lost me on the design.

Maybe in the future they will work out some kind of way to incorporate more of the traditional XJ/XK/KK cues on other Jeeps.

Imagine if they came out with a kit for the Wrangler, where instead of turning it into a pickup truck, it had front fenders, hood, grille, and bumper that had this boxy look? I know a lot of you love the Wrangler, but I prefer the boxy look.

TOTALLY agreed with you and that's the reason I got the KK over the Wrangler. :BINGO:

I have to say there are too many touch screen operation that can cause a lot of car accidents... Heat, radio, AC etc... It looks cool but the functionality isn't working for me... What if the screen decided to quit working? :furious:

Did he have an opinion about your KK when he saw it?
I was reading in a magazine about the KL and seems like they're expecting either really good, or really bad is going to happen with the 9 speed.
I STILL need to see one of these at night with the lights on, since it's a funky front end.
From the side, I like how it looks, the rear is the worst part IMO.

What would make me pause (besides the style issues others have mentioned), is that Jeep delayed releasing it due to some 9-speed tuning issues. I guess it remains to be seen whether that was completely sorted out or will end up being one of those "why the heck did I ever buy this thing" deals.

I have read on the Cherokee forums that the "9" speed is in fact an "8" speed with a mystical 9th gear that Jeep had to set the parameters so that it will almost never be used. Like going downhill, full speed on the Autobahn. New US owners are not happy about paying the extra $ for a highly touted selling point that they will never use. Time will tell if this trans. proves it's
worth.

Jeep needs to appeal to that CUV segment so they can sell something en mass to stay solvent. This way they can continue to offer something like the Wrangler. But, man I can't stand that rear end. The middle is so blah.

But hey, we can always look forward to the "Baby Jeep" :banghead:

He prolly never see a lifted KK before...He was like WTF? :dizzy: Before he even speak, I told him I am NOT trading my KK in! But test drive the v4 trail-haul for my girl...Gas saver... :ALONE:

The trans is really slow in my opinion. May be because I was driving V4 not the V6.

The interior is cool and the seat is nice too BUT who would look at the interior when the exterior looks like $XXX... :banghead:

I should have wait for them to get the plate, so I can drive it on the highway... I only test drive it in the lot behind the dealer going like 60MPH :grim:
