Compatible Shifter Handle/Knobs?

Hey guys, I am looking to add a more hearty shifter to my KK. I'm not a fan of the fake chrome plastic one that came with it. In both my XJ and ZJ, I had the "t handle" style. It felt much more rugged.. I've seen guys put the rubber JK shifter on, and theres even a Mopar t-shifter (thats way overpriced IMO..)

Anyone know if certain other shifters out of Jeeps or Chryslers within a certain age range will fit?

For example, will WK2 shifters fit? Theres a nice one on eBay.. What about one off of a 2013 Dodge Ram? Again, a nice deal on eBay..

I vaguely remember reading that someone had put a Durango shift knob in their KK but I don't remember where and I don't recall seeing a picture..

There are a few options so hopefully someone else will chime in.

I was gonna do it too. Just haven't found a shifter I like yet. It's a pretty easy process tho.

2011-2013 WK2 shifters will fit, also 2011-2013 Dodge Durango. That is the one I'm using.

Lol my bad.
I don't mind our shifter, but I'm sure there are some cooler ones out there.
I like that we don't have any sort of button to push down, etc.

Did you grab one from the line after the last 13WD went by? You should have taken more to share with us. :mrgreen:

Can you post some pictures? I might grab one of the WK shifters next time I'm at the dealership.

I've been running a Durango shift knob since 2010, dude!

Mine wasn't chrome. The Renegade got a "brushed silver" shifter knob and I STILL hated it...

As soon as I figured out that the Durango knob would fit I RAN to the dealership to order one!

WARNING: It does NOT lock down like the stock KK knob BUT it fits VERY snugly. All you gotta do is remove the old knob by prying down on the lower chrome piece, pulling up, and installing the Durango/WK knob by just sliding it on the shifter polethingy. Twist it around until it settles.

Yeah I wouldn't mind one of those. I just can't find one w/o the shifter pattern OR w/o the "click-in" safety button that we don't need in the KK
