For a wiring problem such as you have you need to totally unwind all the insulation tape around the harnesses going to the ECU etc.

This will leave you with a mess of multi-colored spaggehti which will enable you to waggle one wire at a time around as well as inspect all wires for damage.

The BUS wires are usually easy to spot as it is the only wire that has a metal sheath around it.

Could be a badly crimped pin at the ECU connector....you can download the Service Manuals which includes the Circuit Diagrams from the links here on Sams Noob Guide.

If you find the bad wire then you can re-tape the spaggehti back together neatly.....this is pretty much what the Dealer will do in any case....except for the neatly bit!

Also use a hair dryer on Low heat to dry out wet components from a suitable distance. :wink:
