Hello!
Just want to say Hi to all LOST members, my fellow NYer's, NE'rs and Long Islanders :)
Got my 2011 KK pre-owned, a couple weeks ago and I really like it.
I like the old boxy styke jeeps like XJ's (I had 2 XJs and 2 grand Cherokees in the past)
I like the fact that its Trail rated, but a bit disappointed that no skid plates were installed.
Anyway, I just finished installing the front Tow hooks
and removed the lower air dam. It looks so much better now :D

Welcome aboard!

We aren't as active as we used to be but we're still around and usually do summer meets at the beach for some sun, fun, and fishing.

Some more hardcorer fishing then others :goink:

You started in the right direction with the recovery points and the tires. Once you'll see Jeepen It Real and BMXers KKs you'll want to spend even more money on yours so be ready! That's how we all started. :-)r

Woah woah woah, we all know the most hardcore fisherman is the one with the biggest pole

We do need to be more active lol

But anyways, it looks good. Looks like you took the pics by Jones beach. If it makes you feel better I've had skids sitting in my shed for about a year and I haven't put them on yet lol. On the bright side the beaches don't really "need" skids...

Thanks guys.
I used to do surf fishing with the kids at Robert Moses,
I had a lifted WJ a few years back.
Not lookin to get too crazy with the mods....
Looking to do mostly sand, fishing, mild off roading and camping
with the KK.
:)

That's what we all say. 3-4" lift later, maybe some 31s to fill the gap. "Alright I'm pretty much done" .

Next thing you know, you're looking at more armor, metal bumpers, then you think about regearing since the weight and tires did a number so you say "might as well lock her up while I'm in there".

And bam, full skids, metal bumpers, sliders, 4" lift, 32s, regeared to match, air lockers, the whole 9 yards and then you want more..... lol

Mine did grow though, maybe I should measure it

Btw our topics usually get derailed over here lol. Someone's bound to come set it back on track. Maybe Dean will....

Gonna mooch some more rides off us? lol Trade in the Kia and get the new Renegade or Cherokee. Back in a "Jeep" that might actually get halfway decent mileage, AND you can come on the beach with us! Congrats on the kid btw!

Thanks!
Also got my tire deflators in the mail today :)
What sux is that I sold my lifted WJ a few years ago to
a friend, it had ARB bumper and Warn winch, so I gave him all my recovery gear, hilift, kit etc...
Now I gotta get new ones...

Looks pretty good!

I just carry a snatch strap and 2 shackles on the beach. I have pulled lots of stuck vehicles with that setup even a heavy pig like a Range Rover buried to the frame.

A good snatch strap does wonders

NOOB my 1st post

I realize this isn't a patriot forum but I can't find one here I'm using tapatalk.
Hello I've been doin research for about 3 weeks now and I'm ready to buy my new or used 4x4 Patriot! I'm going Saturday 3/15/14 I have 3 picked out.

1st choice
Black 2014 FDI 6 speed auto with 2.4 has 0 miles

2nd
Silver 2012 FDI cvt 2.4 has 36,000 miles

3rd
Recovery Green 2012 cvt FDI 2.4 has 48,000 and a brush gaurd.

Any ideas what kind of things I should look for on the used ones and what I should ask about? I really hope the salesman I've been talking to hasn't been BS'ing me and when I get there says all I can get you in at the monthly payment you want is a 4x2 with a 2.0. Wish me luck guys and I hope to have some pics on here soon. Sorry if I posted to the wrong place this is the first forum I've ever been on. Thank you for all your help in advance!
