How did you lock yours down? It fits over the shaft perfectly, but doesn't click in so it just spins freely and can come off easily.

On the Drake there is a set screw under the rubber tread. Remove the tread, lock the set screw, replace the tread. Violà!

Cheers

I'm using a shift knob from a Compass, I'll have to get a picture of it once the sun comes up.

Probably a dumb question but figured I'd ask anyway just incase anyone else was wondering

How easy is it to take the stock shifter knob off? Been wanting to replace it and seeing this thread just makes me want to even more.

Cake.

The chrome ring on the bottom is the key. Pry it down and pull up on the knob.

Installed silver Drake JK knob on my KK. (Drake part number JP-181113-BL)
Thanks guys for the tip :D
It feels great, billet aluminum and feels solid, unlike the plastic oem.

Same reason I ended up switching to the black Drake shifter :D
First I thought, go with the silver as it will look different. After a few days, I switched to black lol (I love Amazon, easy returns)
Btw, Nice mod nfodzy!
