Updates:

New Stud Kit Design: I now have a new stud kit design which includes robust 50mm studs and vibration-resistant locking nuts. This kit is included in all kits from Batch 12 onwards, and you can buy separately on my web site: http://www.sasquatch-motorsports.com/stud_kit.html

Image

Good News: is that I will have Intake Elbow Kits IN STOCK by mid April. That's right, no more waiting! Kits will ship the next business day and will get to you within 1-3 business days.

Batch 12: an equipment failure caused a delay, but I am on track to ship them out on April 14th.

Vacuum Bracket: Many of you have expressed interest in obtaining a bracket for the brake booster vacuum line. I am testing out a prototype now and will have a final product in 1-2 weeks. The design is very robust and will include a fixed nut on the back side to make installation as simple and as secure as possible. It will have a durable, attractive powder-coated finish. This bracket is included in all Kits from Batch 12 onward.

Garrett Turbochargers: I now have access to Garrett turbochargers at competitive pricing. CRD replacement turbos are $1,085 + S/H: http://www.sasquatch-motorsports.com/turbo.html but I can also get you good pricing on other Garrett turbochargers as well. Contact me for a price quote.

Other CRD Products: I now have the infrastructure and supply chain connections in place to develop additional products for the CRD. I have a growing list of ideas, but I welcome your suggestions as well. I have no desire to compete with GDE, IDParts or other community member products as these guys are doing a huge service to the CRD community. My goal is to fill voids that exist for our nitch CRDs, so we can continue to enjoy them for years to come! I have created a new thread for your ideas here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=78747

Thanks everyone!!

Seth

Thanks to Seth!

You can install it without bracket, that can be added after very easy without needing to remove anything. You can also fab one very quickly if you're concerned leaving the vacuum pipe loose, till the nice and shiny one from Seth gets to you :).

I wanted to check in. This morning I noticed that I am at 3/4 of a tank and at 180 miles. Before the EGR delete, I ALWAYS was at 130-140 miles @ 3/4 of a tank. I am averaging right around 26-27mpg and before it was about 23-24. It does spool up a little bit faster, but I don't think it is anything dramatic.

I guess after 55 kits, you can start to stock them, production costs are all paid for? Good for you, cant wait to see what kind of part you will offer next.

Hey, thanks. It's been a lot of fun.

No one (myself included) likes to wait for parts. Now they ship next business day and arrive within 1-3 business days.

More is in the works...

I was looking for your installation .pdf. After reading through the entire post and looking on the website, I wanted to ask if you would add it to your first post. Thanks, hopefully I can install mine this weekend.

Many of you have requested a bracket for the vacuum line that runs to the brake booster. Well, as of today, a bracket is now available on my web site: http://www.sasquatch-motorsports.com/bracket.html

The bracket is constructed of 14 gauge steel which features an affixed nut, a slotted hole for adjustability, and a durable, wrinkle black powdercoat finish. It includes an M8 nut to secure it to the alternator bracket. Installation is straightforward and can be done without removal of any nearby components.

This bracket is now included in all kits by default from batch 12 onward. But if you already bought a kit at the introductory price, I do strongly recommend installing this bracket. It secures the metal brake booster tube so that potential long-term fatigue from engine vibrations doesn't become an issue.

I got mine in yesterday. :D The 2.5 " hose clamp popped off the first time I took off. You definitely need a deep socket (7/16") to crank it down. I was able to do the rear 3 glow plugs easily. One had a minor split, another was almost totally split for the last 1/2"! The #1 remains ok, I will get it switched the next time the alternator goes. The engine has a better tone, less constricted. We'll see what mileage improvements happen in the next couple of tanks.

Thanks for the feedback.

There is a beefy bead-roll on all pipe ends. When properly clamped, you should not be having any issues.
