Ive been bugging Kilby about these, and here are his replies.

I'd like to say we have the item in stock but we're out and waiting for the machine shop to deliver the product to us. Please contact us in a couple of weeks and we'll update you with the delivery of the antenna mount.

Today he said:

They're anticipating having the manifolds done by Friday but we then need to send them to the anodizer. That should only take a day or two. We're getting closer but I just don't have any others right now. Sorry.

Thanks,

Brad

I think we'd just send him some money for a group buy and maybe he can move a bit faster
We know for a fact that at least 20 pple would buy it.
:)

From the website:

the website is:http://www.arizonarockyroad.com/pages/1/index.htm at the bottom of the page.

And one from my KJ:Image

The one bad thing about it is that the window does not open or close without you removing or bending the antenna.

But that is easy enough to work around.

Well....
let me tell you what I found out today - My firestick has been ruined!!!
since it is impossible to open the back glass without hitting the antenna (unless you take it out) my glass door was hitting it all the time - even with me being carefull not to hit it too hard. I did not take a precaution of protecting it a bit - that is my fault. At MOAB, I was opening the glass door all the time - water, tow strap, tools, etc, etc. Mi firestick lasted about 5 days.
I do not think it is a good design at all - but that is my opinion...
I'll be looking to get the tire mout one and as soon as it is available, I'll get it.
just my two cents

How was it ruined?

I have a spring and a quick disconnect, so opening the glass I bend the spring not the firestik.

I am still waiting for the spre tire mount, but needed something till then.

I do not have a spring or a quick disconnect - a big reason why it happened - like I said... was my own fault.

You guys might try using a "fold over"

A spring would definitely be a good investment, as it'll reduce stress on the mount when you're on the highway and stuff too, and if you're wheeling in the woods.

Personally I'd recommend the Firestik doorjamb mount, it keeps the antenna out of the way of the rear glass. But, if you don't wanna drill, don't get this mount. The holes are really small and easy to drill though. My .02

Just a note on the fold overs - I have one and the way mine's installed (on my rack) I needed to have the fold-over under the spring, but the spring was thicker than the sliding part of the fold-over, so it wouldn't fold. I dremelled off a section of the sleeve to make it work and it seems to be holding up OK. Looking at the pics of the mount you would probably have the spring under the fold-over, so it may be irrelevant.

I say we just bombard him with e-mail inquiries and maybe it might help. Still no word as of yet, I e-mail him every week to check the status. The last word I got was on Thursday of last week

I'm still waiting for delivery from the machine shop. I'm afraid this weekend holiday is gonna screw up stuff though. We're closed Friday and won't be back until Tuesday. I'm really sorry about that.
