anyone mod the bin at all? I like the idea but its stupid having the plastic ring around it cuz it takes away alot of space in there...any other cool storage ideas and mods??

Suppressors are legal by you? Do you need to get a permit to own a pistol there too?

Gun control is 1 of the many reasons why NY sucks....

Anyways, I've seen people remake the lid out of plywood so they could store stuff there.

I believe I found the picture on here but can't find the post. Someone re-made the lid out of plexi glass with holes drilled in it and ran their amp under it. Looked pretty neat at night.

That is awesome. How did you manage to do that? It appears that you just cut the factory plate.

Take a cutting wheel to it. that or a dremel. My buddy did that to his and got it smoothed out. But im making mine a gun storage area like the other guy. But I have to buy the loops for it because mine were gone when I bought it.

Yea, they're legal but they're still regulated by the unconstitutional national firearms act (shall not be infringed) $200 tax and registration just like a machine gun. There's a bill that's been presented to allow suppressors for hunting and it looks like it'll pass before the next hunting season. It's amazing that with all of the gun control enacted in Europe that it's considered bad manners to hunt without one.
Be patient and VOTE. That's the only way to get those fools out of office. There are several law suits pending that challenge those new laws. It's kinda funny, not haha funny, that all of these shootings happen in gun free zones, some within gun free cities. I could go on but this isn't the place.

Bash a hole and snip it out and use a plane to reduce it down to a smooth edge. The tin snips are much faster than the dremel i find

I'm not understanding what you did. Did you just cut out the plastic? What's below it?

You can easily cut around the sides as close to the edge as allowed by the snips (obviously have to use the right sided snips so as to cut with inside as waste). Then to remove, the plastic is attached at each linear reinforcement strip in centre, so you will need to snip out between the strips. Then i used a plane to reduce the centre strips.
