Over time the Jeep badge on my Liberty has faded. Rather than pry it off and replace it with a new one does anybody have any ideas? Maybe repainting it?
Or maybe I should go badge-less.

I'd bet if you removed them they might leave a "ghost" print behind. The easiest would be to replace it with a new one.

You could plast-dip it black to match your rims.

Ahh...that's the look I'm going for.
I'll check the Amazon.ca site and see what they have.

But I'll probably just paint mine black.

I removed mine and didn't have a ghost print. Well at least after clay bar and waxing I didn't

Most the time doing a clay bar and something like megs ultimate compound, then a good paste wax will get rid of it. Even if u can still barely notice it, it will go away with time

Exacto knife, masking tape, and alot of patience. Whatever you do don't try to pull them off to paint. They are somewhat soft and the letters deform and tear easily

Plasti dip and use a tooth pic to clean out the over spray and in between the letters.

That's what I did for mine. Plasti dip and a toothpick. Thick coats and about half an hour later you're goldenImage

I have around 10 complete used emblems from later model Jeeps. All they need is new adhesive backing. Let me know if you need one.

I would tape it off and paint it black.

It would work since you have a silver body and black rims.

Black Mopar Jeep badges are not expensive, why would you paint it yourself? Look online.
