Can anyone suggest where to get a torque converter that will work on my 05 crd, vibration is bad now pulling a boat, and also going up steap hills. I can't find any parts numbers or suggestions on what to use....HELP!

If you want the the best bullet proof torque converter available for a Jeep CRD, get yourself a Suncoast, nothing else even comes close to comparing with the torque number ratings it will handle! Don't make a $ mistake and have to do it twice, do it right the first time and you will not be sorry! The best does cost a little more money, it always does, you get what you pay for in the end!
It actually even makes the motor idle a little smoother due to its heavier mass from having billet steel construction.
I speak from experience, been there done that.

Stock Mopar OEM TC is rated for 300 ft. lbs. max (406 Nm)
Mopar Euro TC is rated for 400 ft. lbs. max (~ 542 Nm)
Suncoast CRD-1ES TC is rated for 600 ft. lbs. max (813 Nm)

Its your choice, make a wise one!

do the front pump also. that may be your problem

If you pull the transmission to replace the TC, be wise and replace the front pump and install a Transgo Kit!!!!
You will be glad you did later on down the road.

Just euro TC in 90 K miles. So far so good. About 25 K of those miles was towing 5000 lbs.

I think I will go with the Euro, does anyone have the part numbers for the pump? And is this a MOPAR part or aftermarket?
