My jeep is lacking power and is Smokin
Full throttle takes for ever to get to speed
When I unplug maf the surging power stops but still lacking and Smokin

All the hoses are tight no leaks and I cleaned the map sensor.

I'm guessing egr but unplugging maf doesn't fix it completely just no surging

Black smoke means you have a boost leak somewhere. I would suggest trying to fully block the EGR (the Weeks elbow kit is a great way to do this, and a nice upgrade no matter what) to see if that is the source of your leak. The intercooler entry is another trouble spot that can crack and leak from the hot air weakening it. If there is oil on the outside of the intercooler at the top, that is usually the indication. Check the airbox-to-turbo hose, the vane movements, and let us know.

You are already on the path with what you have looked at so far, keep at it.

Does that kit eliminate egr valve?
Does it throw cel?

Yes
The Weeks kit will eliminate the EGR and throw a CEL code.
To eliminate the code you will need a custom ECU tune.
