The right rear window regulator on my 2006 Liberty is broken. I know this is a common problem, so I'm not overly concerned. However, when looking up window regulators in my system it shows that I have a late build 06, meaning a regulator from 02-05 will not work. The same goes for the glass.

My question is: If I pull a glass and regulator out of an 05, would that work? Is the wiring the same?

Thanks!

First, check the door for a sticker near the latch. Many of the 06 models were repaired under warranty with the earlier parts. If done, they were supposed to put a sticker on to warn future mechanics that the parts needed didn't match the book for the model year.

Second, why not just fix it? I recently picked up the repair parts from Auto and Art. 06 for the passenger side, 05 for the drivers side. Pretty easy job.

I'll be repairing it now. I wasn't concerned about ease of installation, but I had only found 02-early 06 replacement components. Thanks for pointing me towards Auto and Art!
