 Post subject: Turbocharger Downpipe Nuts Torque Spec

The factory service manual that I have gives 24 ft/lbs as the torque spec for the turbocharger downpipe nut on the V-clamp.

Is this correct, or does this seem excessive?

Edit: It also give another torque spec of 19 ft/lbs in the written portion.

For you guys that have done more turbo/exhaust work than I have, what is your opinion from experience with V-clamps?

Just tighten them down until you can't anymore, and don't superman them tight.

X2 just run it down snug + a bit or as geordi says goodntight. It's just a clamp not a "structural" bolt like a head bolt.
