Went out for some ice cream last night and my girlfriend parked in a really tight spot. She was too nervous to try to maneuver out so that meant I got the opportunity to drive her Civic all the way home.
It's so much fun hypermiling in someone else's car. :SOMBRERO:
I think I used the brakes for a total of 1 second on the 8 mile trip back. :goink: That's how you save gas!

Test drove a 3.0L EcoDiesel WK2 Overland. Had no intention of leaving with a WK2 and now definitely don't. To have the 3.0L deisel it has to be a Limited trim or higher, which is $42,500 starting. The engine is phenomenal but they ruined it with the 8 speed. Going 35mph in the KK I'm in 3rd...35mph in the WK2 you're in 5th. I know after some miles transmissions get rough and shifting 4 times to just get to 35mph just sounds like a bad idea haha. BUT it was an amazing ride and after 3min of driving it was a floating on a cloud compsred to the KK. Too soft in fact haha. Amazing daily driver but not at that price haha.

That price tag is why I'll be looking used when the time comes.

Good point that it's a lot of shifting, but it shouldn't be shifting too much if you drive it far on the highway as a diesel should be driven. Was the engine quiet or ticky?

Drove a loaded hemi WK2 when my girlfriend got it as a loaner. New it costs 50-60k. Great truck, but idk about that price. Especially when you're gonna want to wheel it. Also gotta remember you can only do about a 2" lift, and that's only if you DON'T have the air ride.

Gage: On the highway this was phenomenal up to speed without even TRYING TO...city driving well...yeah try not to haha. The engine was incredibly quiet even with the hood open. With that, I have no idea where the battery is...and neither did the dealer lady haha. There were lugs for positive/negative leads protruding from the unibody by the hood hinge on the passenger's side.

Might be like my girlfriend's Chrysler 200. It's behind the plastic wheel well liner.

No idea...but I can confirm that I now don't really want a WK2 at all...just doesn't suit me haha. And I'm addicted to modding my own metal baby!

Random thought of the day: Has anyone ever gotten poison ivy by mowing it down? Kept it at a distance with a mulching push mower (no spraying out the side). My new yard is surrounded by the stuff, along with other bushes and trees. The poison ivy was encroaching into the grass, so today I reclaimed maybe 2 feet of yard on each side. No symptoms as of yet...

Edit: no way I am touching the lawn mower now! Lol! Hose it off?

Not sure. My uncle works for the state and seems to get it almost every summer. He just bites the bullet now and deals with it. Knock on wood, I haven't had it in years. Not sure if it effects me anymore. It's the oil that causes the irritation. Avoid the oil on the plant and you're fine(well should be...).

Honestly, I think you'll get it. I think different people have different reactions.
I feel like I get it just by looking at it since I get it every year.
I got it the other day and I have no idea how since I haven't done anything different lately.
You're probably on the right track spraying down the lawn mower. I wouldn't have thought of that. Not sure if it'll work, but good thinking.

Spraying down the lawn mower is a good idea. Get some weed not lawn killer and spray it down. Should take care of the issue

Here's a funny story:
My girlfriend and I are in the kitchen while my K&N air filter is on a towel near the sink waiting to be cleaned.
Me: "Do you know what that is?"
Without any hesitation...
Her: "A lamp shade?"
:ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL:
She said a car part was her next guess.
Glad I wasn't drinking anything cuz I would have spit it everywhere!

Mine did the same thing. It wasn't even a year old when it started showing signs of deterioration. When I asked my service advisor to replace the steering wheel, he told me it was normal wear and tear. The material they used was defective, don't be too hard on her

I use a steering wheel cover. Also, I wonder if you can go to a JY and find a replacement off another newer model Jeep.

I think this is as good as place as any to ask.

Has anyone put a switch by or on the dash somewhere to pop open the back glass.

Seems like it would be good to have when a non-jeep person is trying to load something in the back without opening the door.
