Call to order: The meeting took place at Shakey’s Pizza Parlor in Brea, CA. Meeting began at 12:35pm.

Topics of Discussion were presented to attending members with open floor during meeting for comments and questions.

Wally Crandall began the meeting with a history lesson on how LOST Jeeps got started, where the club has been over the years and where we are now. Currently we have 68 paid members with 25 of those members being active. LOST Jeeps National Forum has over 17,000 members through out the United States including Australia and Europe.

#1- Change in Club By Laws- By laws will be changed to state that a person wanting to become a member of LOST Jeeps So-Cal must now attend 2 runs with at least one club officer present. Membership to join will now be approved by A Membership committee consisting of Club Officers and 3 elect club members. Misty Baca has volunteered to run “Survey Monkey” email to Membership Committee for their input and vote of new member. Results will be posted on Forum and Facebook page to club members.

#2- Membership Dues- Topic opened for discussion to raise the amount of annual dues from the current amount of $15.00 annually and to have club Member become part of CORVA with a higher paid membership amount. Members voted to increase dues to $25.00-per person/Jeep a year (January – December) Members also voted to increase annual dues to $50.00 per person/Jeep a year to pay for annual dues and COVRA membership. Only during the first month of each year (January) the CORVA/Club membership dues will be available. After January, all “NEW” memberships will be set at 2.08 a month for the remaining months of the year. All existing membership renewals are $25.00. All annual membership dues expire on December 31st of each year.

#3 Elections- Elections for the Club Officer positions for 2015 will be held in December 2014. Nominations ballots will be sent via email in the next couple of weeks. Misty Baca will format the nominations on Survey Monkey and paid members will be email the form for nominations and elections. Leroy Baca made a motion to nominate and elect Wally Crandall as 2015 President. The motion was seconded by Will Gallimore. Wally Crandall was elected as the 2015 President.

#4 Club Events- Handouts were provided to attending members of scheduled upcoming events for the remainder of 2014 and 2015. These items will appear on the Forum and Facebook page.

#5- KOPL (Kids on Public Land)- Special Guest Stacey Harrold was in attendance to discuss KOPL and the need for volunteers **both men and ladies drivers** for this event every 3rd weekend in September. Stacy shared her years of experience over the past 16 years of KOPL. Not only does this help promote our hobby/sport, along with the chance to give so many kids the opportunity of experiencing the forest and outdoors that they may never get otherwise. KOPL looks forward to seeing everyone out there for their next Annual event September 19 – 20, 2015.

#6- Adopt A Trail (AAT)- Leroy Baca, AAT Liaison, discussed how AAT works with the SBNF along with the rules and requirements for clubs to maintain trails. He explained how each person and club earns hours for attending AAT quarterly meeting along with earning hours out on our trails. Question was asked about adding another AAT to the 3 we already maintain. Leroy would check with Greg Hoffman on either adding another trail or co-trail with another club. Question was asked if High School Students could attend AAT runs and earn volunteer hours with our club. Response was yes they could come out with a club member but would need to complete a Hold Harmless form along with providing their information for the AAT Roster. Wally Crandall made a motion to nominate and elect Leroy Baca as 2015 AAT Liaison. The motion was seconded by Will Gallimore. Leroy Baca was elected as the 2015 AAT Liaison.

#7- Dirtbound Offroad Discount- Max Wilson, owner of Dirtbound Offroad and club member, is now offering a discount to LOST Jeeps SoCal members on items you want to purchase from 4 Wheel Parts. Please call Max at Dirtbound to place your orders and receive your discount.

#8- LOST Jeeps So-Cal T-shirts- Purchase of club T-shirts will end Sunday night at 8pm. Please see post in the LJSC-Paid Member page on Facebook for details.

#9- Ham License- Lost Jeeps So-Cal requires that anyone using a Ham Radio do so as a license Ham Operator. Information has been placed on the Facebook page on how to go about getting your license. CB radios will be also be used during our trail runs but Ham Radio is the prefer method of communication on trail runs. Please speak with any of our licensed Ham Radio Operators if you have any questions or concerns about using the Ham Radio or taking the test.

#10- Minimum Safety Requirement- A handout was given to members indicating the minimum requirements of each driver when doing a LOST Jeeps So-Cal trail run event. Was asked that everyone please make sure to meet the items on list when going out on the trails.

#11- Event Posting From Other Groups- Permission has to be given before “Cross Posting an Event” can be placed onto the LOST Jeeps So-Cal Facebook page and/or Forum.

#12- Lost Jeeps So-Cal Website- Website is available to all. This is a place to show off your Jeep to other members and to your friends and family. Also a way to send your other Jeep friends to check us out and join our club. Links to the forum and facebook can also be found on the website. To get your pictures of your Jeep on the website, please contact Mark Burcham with your information.

After all topics were discussed, Wally asked if anyone had any other items to bring up. Will Gallimore and Sarah Bailey reminded everyone about the 1st Annual Lost Jeeps SoCal Christmas Party on December 20, 2014. Will and Sarah advised that the information is on the LJSC Paid Membership Facebook page and that a reminder with required RSVP email would be going out to club members. No additional topics were brought up to be discussed.

Meeting was adjourned at 2:15pm.

Respectfully submitted,
Tami Riviera, Administrator for Lost Jeeps SoCal

Want to make sure I understand this.
CORVA membership is optional (?) and if you want to join both CORVA & LOST Jeeps So-Cal it is $50 but $25 for LJSC only? Are dues $25 for both or is there some type of discount included in the $50 total?

Was there any reasons for the increase in club dues from $15 to $25?

Members signing up in January can get a $5 discount if they join Corva in January. If they do not wish to join Corva its $25 per year or whatever the prorated monthly cost is. We raised the dues so help with raffle items and other things that pop during the year, like donating to AAT raffle and KOPL. The new members will still get a decal. And they get to go on trails with a great group of people, thats worth a lot more than $25.
