So I ended up lifting my JKU this weekend. 2" lift with Bilstein 5100 shocks. I asked a few people their thoughts on shocks and they all said Bilstein.

So next up are tires. I'm debating Duratracs or KM2s depending on the size I go. I'm going to swap my 18" wheels for the new 17" Rubicon wheels.

Time for some 35s  And aren't those Moabs 17s?

Lol I wasn't going to until my reddit r/jeep Secret Santa sent me the lift in the mail. I just had to buy shocks.

Bmxer the wheels I have now are 18" they look similar to the 17" wheel. I'm going to try and get a set of the new rubi wheels. They look like this.

Ahh, I just figured they were the newer Moabs. Time for smaller rims and bigger tires

Here's some randomness.
As some of you know I tried the Progressive SnapShot car insurance. Just finished up the trial and got my estimate!
With my current insurance I pay 1,000 every 6 months.
If I switch it'll be $500 every six months.
I had to call them to make sure this was legit.

My statistics were pretty funny in a good way.
0.6 hard brakes per 100 miles and zero hard accelerations for my 30 day trial.

Thanks! There's a lot on Craigslist as well. I decided to wait a bit on it.

I'm curious to see if my insurance drops a bit when I turn 25 in a year.

Nice!
I was talking to my buddy who is a few years older than me and he agreed.
I'm excited to save some money. :JEEPIN:

That thing would never work for me!
30 days would be hard accelerations 177, hard brakes per 100 miles 0.0
Bunch of BS when Insurance Companies have to entice you with things like that

I really wanted to try it out since I've always felt my driving should be rewarded.
I agree it's not for everyone. You should have heard my girlfriend's mom get so passed when she failed the trial. Her insurance would have gone up if she went with Progressive. :ROTFL:
With these rates I'd be saving $1,000 a year. I keep telling myself I'm trying to pay off the Jeep so it's one less bill in life.

I think NoVa Jeepers is doing a thing in Rausch Creek (somewhere in the York area of PA) in the spring. I may end up joining them! I'll try to liase between us and them to see if we can't bash in with our KK Squad! 8)
