My red turned to white/grey for a few weeks. It was in the teens so I couldn't wash it. Then one day came, it hit 35* and rained. She's all clean again lol

I still detail mine at least once a week. Im due for a detail today before class. I call it a detail, but its a winter detail job. there's no way I would do a summer detail on my Jeep in winter. I don't have all day! usually takes me 6 hours to detail just the exterior. scratch remove the clear coat and waxing will just about do it. interior could take me 12 hours or more if I get side tracked enough with other jeep projects...

after 4pm when I don't have classes, I clean till im tired. usually till 2 am.

I love keeping my KK clean, but im not afraid to sink it in a mud hole and not wash it for a week or two. or until my neighbors say "when is that going to be washed"? I take pride of the mud on my KK.

Went to the junk yard near me. They had every thing but a useable 4.7l TB. I'll probably just buy one new instead of wasting time looking for one.

Welcome and hope you're enjoying the new to you KK. That's the brake traction control. When the computer senses one wheel spinning in place it applies the brake to the wheel to make the open diff send torque to the other wheel. But that's the noise it makes when it does do that haha.

So, since I had no luck on Saturday finding an 09 grand Cherokee I figured id buy one brand new instead of wasting gas and time searching for one on a yard. For some reason, im now having an issue finding any 4.7l TB.

A new TB is around $120. If I did find a TB at a yard, id save 60 or more dollars. im inpatient and want to get this mod going, so ill suffer the added convince cost.

my plan for tubing are as follows:
90* elbow
straight pipe with 45* bend on end
45* elbow.

I will be keeping the air box with my diy air intake. and I found out why the last 2 weeks have been terrible mileage... the engine is starving from air. so the fan and extra holes I cut in the box aren't enough. ill suffer the mileage till I get the TB.

Im so excited for this mod, I cant wait!

P.S: is anyone able to find a "NEW" 4.7l TB?

Just a thought for you.... Your onboard computer monitors your air fuel mixture , so more air = more fuel, the trick is finding the balance for economy & performance. Too much air and you'll need to upgrade the fuel injectors if it runs lean. Also your engine is an air pump unless you have upgraded your exhaust its a 2 1/2" outlet, you can only take in as much air as it will get rid of.

later on down the road ill upgrade the exhaust. I love the silent sound of the exhaust! although it would sound better if it were a silent exhaust with a lower grumble.

im considering buying this TB. ill give them a call if the TB is an OEM part or other and what type of condition the car was in.

Completely different systems, I'd imagine. The noise on your KK is normal.

If it's a JK, it's 07. Anyways, it's normal. Not sure why the JK doesn't do it. You learn to tune it out. Especially when lifted. It'll kick on every now and then on slow turns.

didn't pull that fuse at all this winter! :5SHOTS: my KK throws it on when it completely unnecessary. it does it on bone dry pavement.

somewhat. I've been on the hunt for an 09 grand Cherokee. I know all of the 4.7l fly by wire TB are the same, or should be the same, but id really like to stick with the grand Cherokee TB. and if no luck on a grand Cherokee TB ill start looking into other 4.7l TBs.

Picked up a rear wiper blade. Hopefully 12 inches is the correct length.
Searched the forum without much luck of the right one.
I'll try to install it this week.
