I know there are countless questions like this but a few words of advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently running 255 55 18 AT2's (29.04") which are getting low on tread, I've managed to located some 245 70 17 (30.5") Cooper SST's for a fantastic price & even factoring in buying new rims its almost an offer too good to miss...

Obviously that will all depend on whether they will go under the arches of my Liberty KK CRD without rubbing on normal road driving.

I'm almost ready after saving the pennies to buy an OME lift kit which although advertised as 1.5" lift I believe actually offers closer to 2"(?) but thats a couple of months away yet.

Basically, on stock suspension on a Liberty KK 2.8 CRD will I be able to drive to work without a suspension lift if I stuff 245 70 17's under the arches?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi to a another UK member :D

Yes, you can fit the tyres but you can't do any offroad or too much twisting until you have fitted a lift to your KK as they will rub against the wheel arches and ruin tyres & body work. Also depending what mileage your KK has (normally if you have more than 60K miles) the front suspension will have sagged so might add a bit more pressure to the situation.

Cheers buddy, I've bought the tyres & rims but I'll wait until I get the OME kit. :-)

Have already bought the OME Kit? if not speak to Jeepey (Based in Yorkshire) they are having a promo on OME 10% off all lift Kits, might be worth seeing what they can do for you. Here is the link : http://shop.jeepey.com/
