The hard top is also removable. You would never know it didn't come as a 2 door, hardtop covertible from the factory. The lift is pretty obvious though.

Do you have any pics with the hard top off???

I am thinking this doesn't apply to the CRD, our air intake is a lot different.

That is a CRD air box. Look at the big hole where the intake straight pipe snaps into it. The version for a gasser has the intake neck molded to it as one peace.

do you think that if one was to drill holes into the lower portions of the air box, one could get better air flow into it?

i am mainly speaking of my '02 air box.

Nope, same air box. Only difference with the CRD is that it's sucking much more air. Strange but related observation on my CRD, the righthand headlight gets very dirty, much more than the left.

Dude, I dont mean to be a smart booty, but are you for real ? Do you know what you are looking at ?

The 1st couple of pics are me holding a very dirty OEM paper filter from the stock Airbox, and the last couple are pics of the airbox that I took once O had drilled those small holes in it for extra air feed. The single large hole is the stock airbox intake (about 90mm in diameter).

The filter I am holding represents the fact that (because of the pattern left by the dirt) the airbox is now drawing more air in (and most likely at a high velosity) than before. The smaller dirty section that has a more condensed dirty area is right next to the Turbo's intake pipe. The air speed is higher at this point hence the concentration of dirt in that area.

I hope this helps, i didnt mean to sound like a smart booty.!!!

I'm not sure. Last time I talked to Terry, he had 2 more in his warehouse. He made them for a couple guys off the Jeepsunlimited forum, and they both backed out on him. That was after about 10 people from that forum said they wanted them, but I was the only person to actually buy one. It all left a pretty bad taste in his mouth. As far as I know, his and mine are the only 2 on the road, but he was talking about selling his KJ and doing another project a while ago.
