20 or 35?
2003 liberty with 20s in front and limo in back
50 on the windshield now and and already comfortable enough to go darker
but how dark is the question?
dont want to go with the lighter tint.. again. and end up to regret it
any personal experience in this would be appreciated
thoughts?

Depends on local laws.
Some jurisdictions won't allow any tint on the windshield.

Around me, the only cars that have tinted windshields are undercover police vehicles. Kinda makes them easy to spot.

well i've been driving with 50% on the windshield for a couple of months now and experienced no problems so far. its basically like driving without any tint at all. i am definitely doing it over but am not sure if i will end up regretting the decision. if you have the windshield done now i'd like to know how night driving is with it and the percentage of tint

Wormw00d- a lot of states, mine included, don't even allow tint on the front drivers and passenger windows for safety of course. As far as I'm aware most states don't allow windshield tinting. In fact the only place I've ever seen it, outside of the United States that is, was in Guatemala where all vehicles had all of their windows tinted to at least 95%.

i know in Virginia you can get a little bit of windshield tint for sun shading with a doctors note. My friend had it.

Ontario - no tint on the windshield.
In the event of a 4 door, no tint on the front two windows.

I'm not sure about 2 doors, but my sunfire has had tint on the doors (2 door) and I've never heard boo about it. Been through DUI checkpoints and random stops enough. Nobody said boo.

The back three windows of my KJ are tinted pretty good, just the way I got it tho.

I think you can get away with tinting the upper portion of the windshield (20% of the area) if your having problems with the sun. Nobody is gonna ticket you for trying to be a better driver. And if they do, it won't stand in court.

Arkansas allows an "eyebrow" of tint at top of windshield. Sure makes late evening into-the-sun driving more pleasant.

My 04 Silverado SS has "Limo" tint on side windows from previous owner, and I love it. Love it well enough I've paid 3 "Too Dark" tickets for it. I'll continue to pay the tickets,,,just have to think of it as renting the shade.

That's funny! Lol

I have a single lane driveway and "rent" a spot on the road. Lol

I know this is late but 35 is plenty dark enough for windshield. My front windows are 20 and everything else is 5% OVER factory tint. My windshield is bare.
