Have you pulled any codes?
Lots of things can cause the symptom you describe such as fuel supply/pressure or transmission problems. Getting the trouble codes can help narrow that down.
Also, a low or no boost problem typically causes black smoke out the exhaust.
And a blown CAC hose will cause a low boost problem.
Where is your turbo leaking oil from?
Is it from the feed line on the top?
The drain line at the bottom?
Or is it an accumulation of oily residue in the turbo and CAC hoses?
None of that immediately requires turbo replacement.
Before removing the turbo, remove the intake hose and stick your fingers in the turbo and try to push, pull, spin, and wiggle the impeller shaft. It should spin easily and with minimal side to side movement
Turbo removal is not too hard. Best to soak the bolts in some PB Blaster before trying to loosen them.
Getting it back on can be a total pain. Mainly because of the oil drain pipe.
ok its weeping between the intake and exhaust side of turbo, its got very smoky as of late noticed a couple days ago bad smoke bomb when i hit the peddle, no cels, nothing coming up, motor lacks any deal sound, going out to double check cac hoses but I'm skeptical thats it, all were pep laced 6 mo ago,............sorry just re-read this,.spellcheck,...the motor is not making that classic deasl I'm a monster sound, when i limped home it felt and sounded like total turbo lag, yet,.no heavy smoke only direct power drop noise drop too,map sensor cleaned a month ago,...
