Hello, I want to Franken lift my CRD. I plan on an ARB winch bumper and an M8000 warn.

I also want to tow a 3000lb R-Pod trailer with a 260lb hitch weight. My question for those of you
familiar with Franky lift is do I need anything else installed to keep the lift and compensate for the
front bumper and trailer hitch weight?

Thank you in advance.

Tom

Which springs are you going to get wth the Franky?
I assume the 790s, if so front will be good
Rear make sure you get the 948s.
No CRD here but heavy skids, both aftermarket front and rear bumpers etc and have towed all over with the trailers I have and no issues
I do use the Sensa Trac overload shocks in the rear to help with weight and towing

Thanks Thomas. No issues with an extra top plate in the rear or anything?

I would guess you'd suggest the JBA upper arms? Anything else from him?

Yes I was thinking the 948. I wish I had gotten a RL Kamoto. Now I dont know of any
rear bumper tire carrier available.

There are AirLift airbags you can get too. I believe I had read that you need to get bags for a 4runner or something once you have the lift on there.

I don't have them on my jeep but did put their ride control kit on my f150 and it's nice.

Yo Mass-Hole, your truck has this; OME 790's+top plate+clevis, I guess Im trying to get out of you guys if I NEED anything other than whats going to come with the kit to either get more ride height, or something to add to what the bumper/winch/lights (and trailer hitch weight) will do to the truck.

With no arb bumper my jeep sat a little nose high with the 790,top plate, and clevis. Now with the bumper it's pretty much dead level. No winch though. Also keep in mind I have jba 2.5" rear springs with no extra isos, not ome.

It rides pretty smooth with the bumper on there.

The other thing is I dont think you would lose a whole lot of height with only a 260 lb tongue weight. I towed a tandem axle car trailed with 2.4 tons of pellets(i figure somewhere in the 7000 lb range) on it with stock springs and that didnt compress the rear end that bad. The pellets were set slightly forward so they were def weighting down the tongue.

I lifted with 790's and 948's and all ARB shocks and struts not the Franky. no top plates or anything. I have the stock bumpers and I tow a pop up with mine I use a 2 inch drop tow bar and it tows with the trailer a bit high in the front. Ideally a 3 inch drop might be better to level the trailer out.
