Except for the later Renegades, Are hoods for 2002-2007 KJ's pretty much the same?

Had a little mishap last week while I was up in the Keweenaw peninsula My grill and hood are toast.

I was researching this issue just today. The 2002-2007 Liberty hoods, except the flat Renegade, are interchangeable. I found this info on the JC Whitney site: http://www.jcwhitney.com/2002-2012-jeep ... 012j1.jcwx

I've found 6 blue hoods within about 50 miles at pick and pulls. Very few other colors. Does that mean Blue KJ's get rear ended more?

The hoods will interchange, but when installing a 02 hood on my CRD I noticed some differences.

1. There is sculpted foam that goes around the snorkel of a 3.7L air box. (good if you run this air box)

2. There is no hole in the hood for the ground strap near passenger side hinge. (easy fix, drill hole)
