once you get to the point of the solar stuff, im going to need to pay you a visit!
That would be fun. I could definitely make use of your expertise on the Solar/DC side of the electrical.

Looks solid. What kind of wood are you using?
Thanks, Prof! im using select pine boards from the Home Depot.
Pinus radiata, which is a California species. It says it is "responsibly harvested." Hope that means sustainably harvested, ha ha.

The fantastic fan will make a huge difference in pushing and pulling air. As for solar, you wont need a very large panel if you have one battery. Although, the bigger the panel the better. We have a 160 watt panel on our trailer with a dual battery setup. I'm amazed by how well it keeps the batteries charged, especially after testing them for over a week when boondocking. I was originally going with a 120 watt panel, but realized that the price for a 160 watt panel wasn't that much more. I have deep cycle batteries. You may want to use the golf cart batteries.
I have three group 24 marine deep cycle batteries, so I'm looking for a panel in the 220-250 watt range. The batteries are run in parallel, so it is still a 12 volt system. If you know of anyone who wants to get rid of a nice solar module and an MPPT charge controller, just let me know! I've been watiching my local Craigslist.
