My antenna recently snapped off when I was backing into the garage and I can't get the screw out of the base. My question is, does the antenna that sticks up function as reception for the actual AM/FM radio, or for Sirius? Wondering if I need to try to replace it, or make due as is..... I don't care about Sirius, but do like the AM/FM radio.

I found that when I unscrewed the antenna for the car wash, I lost AM/FM reception but kept the Sirius reception

I have to unscrew mine to fit in the garage and sometimes forget to screw it back in. You'll loose long range reception but should be able to pick up local stations depending on the signal strength of your broadcast station. I couldn't tell you about satellite since I don't have it. May want to run a hose around the base and see if breaking it off has cause a leak... it did when I did exactly what you did.
