Search on here guys for the ram tcm thread. A few of us have been running them. I'm going on 2 years with mine. I would compare shift points and lock up close to the "Eco" tcm.

As for the Dodge Ram TCM. Warp2Diesel has a non crd TCM, stock gas Grand Cherokee I think, that he has "trained" to work in his CRD.
Try a search.
I used to tow our 3200# 17' Casita with our CRD a with a Euro TC and the GDE Full Torque tune.
I have two TCM's an original "pre f37" for normal driving and the "Post F37" TCM that I find works well for towing.
Even with the Euro TC using the pre f37 tcm for towing I have gotten shudder once. (forgot to swap to the F37 before that trip)
The original pre f37 TCM will hold 5th gear down to 54 MPG (around 1600 rpms) and applying just a little pressure on the skinny pedal, not enough to down shift I found out what real shudder is

From my experience and what I've read this transmission regardless of tune can not utilize 4th gear enough that is really needed for towing.
It seems to be 5th or 3rd. It's very difficult to keep it in 4th when towing

I think we were talking about whether or not the Ram TCM would accept GDE's CRD tune being flashed to it, not whether it works in the Jeep. I have a Ram TCM and was considering sending it to GDE to have it flashed with the Eco Tune but when I asked Keith about it, it was not clear if it would work.
I've use the Ram TCM and it just wasnt worth the hassle. It's around town manners were fine and I liked that you could pick and choose your gear easier, but I had numerous instances where I need to really get on the gas and it got me in trouble. I know people talking about how you can't have a digital foot to get it to work well but there are situations that cannot be avoided. The on-ramp I used to get on every day was an extremely tight right hand loop that you could only comfortably do 25 mph on. You then had to merge onto a 60mph 4 lane highway and had less than .25 miles before your lane became and exit only. When you are trying to merge onto the highway and not get crushed by the 18 wheeler barreling down on you and the TCM downshifts to many gears sending the engine to 5k rpm, its not good. Having to know exactly what the tipping point would be to get the most power without it overrunning the engine was a PITA.
