Over the last few weeks I have had a weird starting issue.

Turn the key and it will do a mix of cranking and whining, sometime it starts sometimes not. This happens occasionally but not always. After it does this and doesn't start, I can try a second time right after and it will start without issue?

I posted two videos, well audios actually since When i leave and get home its dark so there really only the sounds which I am describing (poorly)

Anyone else have this, If so was it the starter.

Simple. Replace the battery and clean up the battery terminals.

Before cranking over the engine, whats the battery voltage?

Starter fixed mine doing the same thing. I had gotten stuck and it was seized up but I hit it with a hammer a couple times and it worked for a good 3 years but would do that on occasion. One day it just stopped working on the second try. Surprised it lasted that long to be honest.

Thanks.

Battery is less than a year old but I'll check the voltage this weekend.

I have an appointment to get it looked at Tuesday.

This seems to be a common problem with the KK. I changed my starter twice and changed the battery. There's also a computer flash that the dealership can supposedly do that might help. I've had it done, and it still ocaisionally does it, but not as often as before and it usually cranks over second or third time when it does act up now
