I've not made a lower cover yet. However, I have some scrap stainless baseboard laying around and an idea for a 3 piece unit with 2 fixed on the outside and a sliding middle section.
What I have definitely helps, but I'd like to see if being able to control the lower section is significantly better. Guess I should just use some scrap cardboard for a bit to see if it behaves much different.
You might want to either cut some small holes in the existing grill inserts you have made, or forego the covering of the air dam underneath the bumper. I understand that this is to relieve negative pressure on the mechanical cooling fan, and prevent premature wear on it. I do know that even the Cloud rider winter fronts have a minimal amount of air slots cut into them to relieve the negative pressure put on the fan.
