When you get stuck, say for example in a ditch, and you are in 2WD, how do you shift into 4WD to get out?
This is on an 06 Liberty CRD, 4WD of course. Normally, you would shift the transfer case while you are rolling along at low speed. And obviously, there isn't going to be rolling along at any speed while stuck in a ditch.
I've had the vehicle for quite some time now, but no one has ever been able to explain to me how to do this. Additionally, it is highly advised not to shift while under power (read go pedal depressed, at all).
My background is pickup trucks with manual clutch everything, including manual lock-out hubs. I find the manual method easy, straight forward, and simple. And you always know what is engaged and what is not.
So how do you get into 4WD in a Liberty when the vehicle is unable to be "rolling along"?
