1252 and 0299 codes. Is there any risk to turbo or engine If I continue to drive this vehicle until I get the problem resolved. I posted this question on a similar topic/post but didn't get a response. The vehicle sounds and drives ok. Just the issue with reduced power and pick up but its not in limp mode. It'll be a day or two before I can check vacuum solenoids, modulator, MAP? etc. Thanks for any replies

I'd say drive it if necessary.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. Now if my wife get's stuck somewhere, I've got someone else to blame it on. :ROTFL:

The P0299 is most likely caused by the P1252 problem. Locate and fix the first one, and the second code will go away....
Hope this helps?
P1252 - Vacuum Reservoir Solenoid Short Circuit
- Faulty Vacuum Reservoir Solenoid (most likely the problem)
- Vacuum Reservoir Solenoid harness is open or shorted
- Vacuum Reservoir Solenoid circuit poor electrical connection
- The Engine Control Module (ECM) detected a short to ground on the Vacuum Reservoir Solenoid control circuit

P0299 – Turbo Under boost Condition

Isn't there a way to bypass the solenoid until it can be replaced? It's been awhile for me, but I think I swapped the vacuum lines at the suggestion of this board until my new solenoid came in the mail.

Thanks for the suggestion to bypass vacuum reserve solenoid. Instant return of power. I'll get the part on order. This forum and its members saved me $$ again. I probably would have taken it in to the dealership otherwise.
