Is there any way to make an 05 crd roll more coal? I already have a straight pipe and egr delete. Are there any chips or tunes that could help me out? Just want to be able to do it to show off to some friends saying it's not a "real" diesel. Thanks

You need to roll coal to prove what? :banghead:

I'm starting to show my age, more and more I'm leaning to it being pointless.

But yes, there are tunes that can do it.

Get and mpps cable and ecmtitanium and write your own tune. Lower the boost and increase the values in the smoke limiter map. It will take 5 minutes.

    Actually, please don't.

Smoke is unburned fuel exiting your tailpipe. That is money being wasted to show off the insufficient size of your peen to your idiot friends.

Please don't do this. It just continues the useless and dangerous stereotype of diesels as dirty and smelly, and the truckbois that own them as low intellect redneck morons.

Don't do this if you want to see more diesels on the road and NOT have to also deal with heavier enforcement actions against our already over-regulated and under-needed emissions systems.

If you really feel you need to have a dikk measuring contest, I'm sure President Trump will oblige you once he is in office. :banghead:

He is getting my vote, but what makes you think he is for smoky diesels?

I think he was referring to the penis measuring contest.

I'm pretty sure Trump could care less about what comes out of a diesel exhaust pipe.

Better yet, load a tune that gives you more HP and torque. Beat those idiots in a drag race without blowing smoke. Much more impressive.

I love passing subarus and blowing a little coal their direction! Since Prius is a pretty rare car in Alaska.......Rolling coal on one of those earns extra points!

Unfortunately, my libby is quite conservative and doesn't "roll the coal".

The GDE hot tune will throw a little more smoke out the tail pipe than normal, and it'll pick up some power! Just be ready to replace your torque converter soon as it won't survive the torque.

Hm , rolling coal , yeah i got it , well i know engine that can do this no problem , if you can find one. that is detroit diesel 2 stroke , with blowers and turbo , 71 series they are 4 cylinder and up to 16 cylinders yeah i think that will leave your competition in the rear view mirror ( they can be little tricky to do tune up ) LOL i miss them too i wish i have that weapon in my jeep

Subies are good cars, but where I live a bunch of old wanna be hippies drive them and they have a stigma about them, with over careful, slow and terrible drivers. Mostly citiots that decided to get their license at 60 after depending on the subway most of their lives.

if you must roll coal get an older Cummins..its easy..
just bad idea for the reason stated above...

since I drive an older Cummins..sans the smoke switch..there are lots of times I wish I had one.
like when some is driving 35 in a 45..or 35 in a 55 and doesn't seem to care that anyone is behind them...
or when they pull out from a stop and go slow..it'd be nice drop some smoke while passing.
but people who drive slow and go slow after they pull out won't get the message..so why?

Mine would roll coal like crazy until yesterday when I replaced the boost hoses with the ID Parts silicone tubes. I'm happy though because it would smoke so much when i stomped on it that it's almost caused an accident from blacking out the intersection. Now it's got more power and is more responsive and barely rolls coal.
