It has far too much history to just get rid of it so we added a hitch receiver tire hilift and Jerry can holder.

Looks good but as a heads up did you reinforce the bumper where it attaches to the frame? I did the same thing you did but on the other side. the bumpers and everything are built great but you have to remember that it wasn't made to have weight of an open tire carrier and gas can hanging off the back. Just food for thought. It should only really be a problem when its open but the bumper still will feel the weight still when it is closed. Also especially if you to any thing with that too.

We sure did! We added bracing inside the bumper as well as an extension that bolts into the frame along the drivers side to help with the added weight.

The fit is awesome and the only rattle I get is from the hi lift foot when the kk hits bumps

Went on a small overland adventure with 8 other Rigs from the Texas Chapter of L.O.S.T. this past weekend!

Mostly County roads but even with it being dirt roads and water crossings we did have 1 jeep casualty (hydro locked an engine)
Overall great trip and I'm excited to go again!

Good eye! You would be correct... He, the silver KJ beside me in the river photo and myself led the event!

Texas is pretty active and consistent when it comes to hosting events

Tested out my new tires. Got Firestone adestination MT, 245/70/17 load range E tires. Seem to do well in the mud and climbing hills.

It looks like you are running stock suspension as the wheel wells look pretty stuffed! Do you get any rub at all with those tires? That's a great look.

Its bone stock. It barely rubs the plastic liners but no damage at all. Just makes a quick rubbing noise under certain bumps and wheels turned. I havent had it really twisted up though. I had the left front jacked up, the right rear wasnt touching then, but when being driven over ruts it does rub more in the back. Not enough to worry about. Any bigger tires it would need mods for sure. Cant afford a lift now though. They are about 2" taller than the 235 tires that were on it, only 10 mm wider. They do well in rocks and mud. I can go places in 2wd that gave me trouble in 4wd with the all season street tires. I want to get a locker for the rear though. Not much flex and it picks up the tires in off camber positions so the tires will spin in air.

Didnt get pictures of off camber stuff but heres a small hill.

That's a nice looking Jeep, Mark.

As for me, I got my Jeep an oil change and a 5-tire rotation today. Mileage clocks in at about 126K, which makes 40K on the new Jasper engine. It has broken in nicely. I was able to get 20 mpg, all highway, 4 tanks in a row on the way down to NC and back last weekend. (Trip was related to my work.) That's with the 4 inch lift and 245/75/16 Duratracs (load range C) and corrected for the larger tires.

Nice Job on the install. Are they bolted or screwed down?

Both brackets are through-bolted using stainless steel hardware with nylon lock nuts. I believe in over-engineering everything. :)

I like yours also, black is my favorite vehicle color. I get 13-14 mpg mixed driving. Its mainly a vehicle I drive to work every weekend of 90 miles each way. I drive mostly 70-75 mph most of the way so Im sure that doesnt help. Mines got about 90k on it.
I have the skid plates, havent put them on yet, be my next mod after I wash all the mud off, lol.

Got back out to have some more fun. Got some good flex pictures this time.

It must use the traction control and abs to get over the wheels in the air. Going up the hill puts the rt front wheel in the air and the non posi rear spins tires for a second then the traction control kicks in and makes a racket and then it grabs and goes. Makes the same noises when the hill descent is turned on. This KK is almost as good off road as my FJ60 and FJ40. It wont ever be that good until a lift, lockers, and solid front axle is installed though. The ifs limits flex a lot, which is bad for rock crawling or ruts. I bet adding a locker in the rear will help a lot. I need a lift, deeper gears, ATH front and rear bumpers, winch, and other stuff, lol. It gets addicting.
