Sounds great, what is the difference in rocker arms? I found them on IDparts with posts/lifters for $370 on eBay same thing $200 or bare rockers $110. I don't want to cheap out, but at the same time I don't want to spend extra for the same product.

Can't really say what the difference is. I will say this, with the labor involved and so many sketchy dealers on eBay I don't think twice buying from id parts. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money at least you know it's a genuine part and not China crap that is gonna break 5k miles down the road

Rockers themselves are much the same, but lifters are a new design - spring clip assembly instead of a poorly crimped head cap. The oil passage to the roller may also be redesigned.

Oil in the intake means nothing, but you will want to remove the FCV and EGR elbow and replace it with the intake elbow kit (called the "weeks" elbow) for much improved operation and a cleaner design.

Broken rockers mean that the timing system was NOT set correctly. The rockers are the designed failure point if the timing belt slips or is not installed correctly. It doesn't surprise me that it failed one day after being built if they didn't do the timing correctly.

Here's my list of parts so far...

Alignment pins from Freedom racing

From somewhere

Timing belt tensioner wrench

IDparts

Rocker kit
Valve cover gasket
Timing belt kit, if I read I can just replace the front of the water pump and save $$$, the serpentine belt is new

"Elbow" mentioned earlier

Am I missing anything?

Arp studs. You'll also need 4 injector crush washers and 4 o rings

Do these have a chronic head gasket failure problem or just a couple?

Your already in there that far. Imo,it's dumb not to arp stud it when already opened up. You don't need to remove the head. Just replace one at a time.

Read the "research request" sticky thread for an illumination about why you want to install ARP studs.
