At work we had a giggle how to clean up the my CRD exhaust so it will meet 2007 emissions. Take one of my wifes pantiehose and duct tape it to the exhaust so it will flow thru the legs. That will collect the soot. When the pantiehose turn black it is time to change it and will cost only a few $ per pantiehose filter.
