Hi, I have an '06 KJ Sport CRD and I just bought a complete set of Moab rims with 245/75/16 tires mounted to them. I have been reading some posts and have been looking at the OME kit from JBA with the UCA and I'm a little confused. The OME kit states it is 1.5" of lift but some on here are stating they are achieving almost 4" of lift? If I just get the OME lift with the UCA from JBA's will I need anything else as in new top strut plates, isolators? Is it worth it to order the Frankenlift just for the simple fact it comes assembled to save the cost of paying someone to assemble the pieces as I don't have the tools to do so?
Thanks.
If you would read more you would see that the OME gives you 2.5 inches of lift ( 1.5 is advertised due to insurance reasons in Australia where they are made)
NOW I assume or hope you are going with the OME 790s up front for your CRD and 948s in the rear.
245-75-16s will work with 2.5 inches of lft BUT if i was going to do it I would add in the 1/4 inch top plate for 1/2 inch more height, giving you 3 inches over all in the front. For the rear add one upper isolater per side to level it out.
Frankenlift is more money in the end but also a great product, your choice. Getting a shop to compress them should only cost you 50-75 bucks total, tell them you'll come back for an alignment and some will give you a break
I have done 2 CRDs for customers using the above and they came out great. Oh and pound over the pinch weld in front
