Yep! I've had that as an option for a while now, just everybody orders the flat sliders with the dimpled fillers..

Personally I like the look of flat sliders more than angled. Plus it's an easier sell to the wife, you can make them out to be steps lol. And they actually function as a step more comfortably.

Pretty much nailed it.
The angled sliders give a different aesthetic that some might prefer, and the only extra clearance you get is from off camber situations.

That's a pretty nasty angle, I know I'd have some pucker factor at that point lol. They help with sliding off some rocks or ledges too. Theoretically they're way better offroad, I just don't think that many people wheel hard enough to justify that over the other set that can dual function. Hell, even if I built a JKU on 40s and for crawling, I'd probably still go with the flat set lol

Oh...the dimple set reminds me of the poison spyder sliders for JKs....and I love those sliders. They make a body mounted set which is just dumb to me. I can't see it being as strong as chassis mounted, and isn't the point of sliders to protect the body? If you mount the slider to the body, don't you risk the chance of denting where it's mounted?

The dimple die are what I've truly been waiting for. Now it's a matter of gathering enough cash to throw at Morgan

Taco bumper time! After a year and a half of owning this thing I've finally got the time to get started on it.

Don't know ya but I really enjoy following your projects.

That grinder finish makes the pieces almost look semi-transparent.

Would be rusted within an hour here though.

Thanks

The material I use is called hot rolled pickle & oil steel. From the mill it just has a very slight amount of scale on it that get easily knocked off with a flap disc which gives it the bright and shiny surface. More expensive but worth it because the welding and end result is so much cleaner. I actually had the center section on and got caught in a snow storm which instantly gave it surface rust :banghead: For the most part if I keep it dry it won't rust out where I live though (thankfully).

Yeah I never had this problem in San Ysidro, either.

Health issues... they are a game changer.

It's still good to watch and dream, even if it's all I can do.

No, they are U bolt flip plates. More pics later of what I mean.

T-case and trans are getting one big continuous skid to cover both. I have it all drawn in cad and picking the parts for it soon.
