One thing to consider is that an OME lift will provide a much better ride on the road as well as off road. Even on my jeep which has the ome lift plus a clevis spacer and top plate it far more controlled than the factory suspension. If you went ome only you would get some good lift and a great ride without going crazy

No you can just get the ome springs and shocks and that's all you need. There are several springs to choose from but the recommendation is to go with the 948's in the front and 790's in the rear for the CRD.

I added a clevis spacer and JBA(jeepin by Al) top plate spacer for the front to get some additional lift over the standard OME lift. I think mine is right on the edge before I need to start worrying about the CV joints

Anyways, if my Jeep had new suspension on all 4 corners, I would wait until it wore before replacing it.

Once it was wore out, I would go with OME springs and OME or Bilstein shocks.

Extra bushings, clevis washers and top plates are not necessary unless you want to squeeze the biggest tire possible under your Jeep.

I did a super cheap 1 inch lift.
Added additional rear spring isolators, 2 per side.
And used conduit nuts as front clevis spacers, 4 per side.

Something I just discovered...
08-12 Liberty KK front clevises will fit on the KJ and are 3/8 inch longer. This will give additional clearance between the lower shock mount and the CV axle boot.

Tommudd is the KJ lift expert, and he had written a glowing review of the JBA kit. I installed the 2.5 inch silver JBA kit, and I'm very happy with it. Longer rear springs soak up the bumps along with the front coil overs with adjustable height, compression and rebound settings. I'm installing an ARB bumper right now and all I'll have to do is add a couple turns on the front to level things back out.

You might need aftermarket upper control arms to get the alignment right after the lift. I have slightly too much camber to adjust out with a 3 inch cheapy lift. Mine does drive better than my friends 05 with no lift. I do get some nose dive during breaking that hers doesn't.
