I have a stock 08 liberty. I'm thinking about bigger tires. Can I fit taller but narrower tire on the stock set up. or What size tires can I fit with a 2 in. lift?
thanks

245/75/16 is a great tire size for that lift range.

I am currently still running that tire size and I love it

What 2 inch lift?
If spacer 245-70-16s
If going full spring lift with OME, then thats 2.5 inches and can squeeze 245-75-16s

This kk was running 245/75/16 without a lift, no rub. Now your springs may have sagged more and other variables could change your fit

With a clevis lift though that tire size will fit.

This photo is a before and after of her 2 inch lift

Don't know why people install oversize tires on unlifted vehicles.
Heck he would never be able to follow me down home to where my parents live, would tear the front flares off .
Build em right the first time or wait until you can do it right

Maybe no rub going straight on a perfectly flat round, not going to be so lucky on even mild offroad trails.

Is it always an awkward moment when you two are wrong about something?

This jeep went through most trails a kk can play on in moab and still had all its plastics.

Alright, one....he is actually a she. Build em right by whos standard? Obviously you are the king of jeep liberty and know everything huh? How long did it take you to build your rock sliders? I built mine from scratch and welded em all. How did your jeep do in Moab and the New Mexico mountains? Mine did great, those sliders I built held up pretty darn well too..and last I checked my plastic pieces were all still intacted..

How much lift to fit 37"s?

245/75s may fit stockish height if you pound that pinch weld down and you still have relatively good springs.
They fit great on a 2" lift with out pinch weld mod. I ran that size for a while on a 2" daystar without issues.

Though the daystar sucks, it got the job done.

South Dakota(black hills),Washington state,Colorado,MOAB(Utah),Kentucky,Wyoming,Montana, and British Columbia and that is just with my KJ.You can add 6 more states and 5 other countries including other vehicles.

And I can tell you 100% you rubbed like no other before the lift offroad.

Aren't you like old as dirt though? I mean, if I was as old as you I prolly would have more places, but seeing as I am only 22..uk, not dirt. Please though, continue to tell me what 'you know' happened with my Jeep. I can tell you it didn't take much for my aas end to bottom out, but I also drive like a hanyak. Oh, and since we're comparing penis sizes, I also have wheeled 'other vehicles' from dirt bikes to jacked up rams.
You are quite 'famous' in the Jeep world, but it is for being a giant vagina and not for anything good or knowledge worthy. I work with men like you, cavemen who only have one way of thinking.

Well most of those places I've wheeled was done before I was 25 and my "other" vehicles...................

In many states and Iraq and Afghanistan.

Oh and I know if you truly had 245/75R16's on stock suspension offroad you rubbed.I ran half worn 245/75R16's on my brand new KJ which sat higher than your KK(I have a pre-lowered KJ so 3/4" higher then lowered KJ's and all KK's) and it rubbed like crazy on the street the KK has smaller wheel wells then the KJ.

Thread derailed but the fact remains. You can in fact run a 245/75/16 stock on a kk and a 2 inch lift (20-21in hub to fender) will clear that tire size all day long no pinch weld hammering needed.

I know because I drive a kk that was stock, then 2in and sitting on 245/75/16 on 08 springs and still hasn't had it's pinch welds knocked.

Our group in TX has been blazing trails on modifications to the kk. We've gotten pretty good at it (:

IT really shouldn't matter where or what was wheeled. If one person claims that it didn't rub on their rig and they have pics running said tire size, then give them the benefit of the doubt. Every rig is different. Maybe she did the pinch weld mod. Maybe her KK had really good spring rates (far better than average). Either way she ran them and there wasn't any significant rubbing, whether it is believed or not.

And TIJKK is correct. I also ran 245/75's on a daystar lift with no other mods. And I wheeled in in Texas, MOAB and Colorado without any rubbing. Not all experiences will be the same. But that was ours

Others have also driven other vehicles....

So, what have we learned so far?

1. Never assume you know everything. You don't.

2. There are others--besides yourself--who also have relevant experience.

3. 245/70/16s will fit an unlifted KK WITHOUT rubbing. User beware.

4. 245/75/16s will fit a KK with a 2" lift WITHOUT rubbing.

5. 255/70/16 will fit a KK with a 2" lift with pinch welds pounded flat.

6. I am not on this forum much because I can find the relevant expertise in my local group, where members have pushed the KK/KA/KJ platforms to their limits, without compromising IFS. Advice in our group is shared without ego--or condescending attitudes. I only wish the same could be said about this forum.

First. Mr. TJKJ2002......I wouldn't worry about other chicks Jeeps, if she wheels it and has fun, who cares....
And Mr. Tommudd.....looks like theres two KKs from the pics that have 245/75s

And heres the reason why I KNOW BOTH OF YOU ARE FULL OF SHET

1. Yall said OX wont fit in a KJ. Well that has happened
2. A KJ/KK cant be lifted over 4". Well my Jeep was at 5.5" lift
3. 285/75r16s wont fit without cutting apart the pinch weld. Yeah your getting it?
4. JBA is the best.......well my A arm broke and I was told to get lost (no pun)(also at 4" of lift)
5. Yall are both old as dirt and old people need things to keep them happy. Just like prisoner.....get it
6. Who cares where you been and what you have done. Guess what theres always someone whos done more and been to places yall have been
7. Oh yeah and long travel......well looks like that Army boy got em some red stuff thats pretty dang long

You call it BS. Well you will be surprised what I have had my hands in. ATH front coilovers for instance, I had a part in that. It wasnt JBA.

I personally have sold all of my Jeeps. Why? Because yall two are fools that are very closed minded and cant think outside the box. Honestly, 10 years and yall still doing the same crap. And im over here doing long arms, cradle drops, steel d30s, bumpers and all kinds of other stuff like heim steering.

I understand this will get me banned again. Thats ok. Im just here to let yall know until you two change yalls attitude, there will be more people going to facebook and getting ahold of these guys that have listened and watched for the past few years. That have seen how a capable KJ can run thats not run of the mill.

And honestly I'm not impressed by how big your penis is. Sorry. Nor am I impressed by where you have been or offroaded. Come and talk to me when you can get to MY property slightly north of me. You cant even get atvs or anything less than a tractor back there, and until you been in a car that has smaller tires than a kids bicycle, weighs less than one ton, has less than 5" of ground clearance, seats two and has a three cylinder engine mounted in the rear and attempt to get to my property, I'M NOT IMPRESSED WITH YOUR MALL CRAWLING. when was the last thime yall old farts went offroad? Probably back when Henry Ford was painting his cars black.
