I've about had it with this Jeep. P0101 comes back every few days. Seems to do it when you are on a road that requires being in and out of the throttle a lot, like hills or curves. Been fighting this for a year or so. Has never thrown any other codes.

Recent work includes:

Rockers, full set, had one break.
MAF, about a year ago.
MAP, recent.
Air filter, replaced ever oil change.
Turbo to air filter hose.
EGR is blocked and has DIY ECM tune.

The thermostat is bad... haven't replaced it but have one. The CAC hoses show nothing remarkable, I have removed the sheathing to inspect, no leaks are evident. The CAC itself has no oily spot that indicates it could be leaking.

Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated, my OCD can't handle the darn CEL ANY longer. Yes I have read the noob guide, stickies, and searched.

If the MAF is firmly plugged in, then it must be a wiring problem.
Most likely a intermittent open circuit at the plug.

I also should add the turbo has absolutely zero play in it.

Thank you. I have heard this was a common issue. Where does this plug normally fail? Externally it looks ok.

Fails at the crimped connections inside the connector.

If you are having intermittent limp mode but all else seems OK - and no codes - check the wires and the connections to the little Mercedes Logo Sensor on the side of the airbox. Those wires get pinched a lot and break right by the connector, and then all manner of stupid things start to happen in the computer. Mine would put me into limp mode randomly, but ONLY after moderate (not hard) acceleration, or hitting bumps in certain ways.... Once I replaced that plug, the limp mode went away.

I checked the plug on mine when this was posted and found one wire that had broken all but 2 filaments. Might be worth a check.
