I just bought my Liberty about a month ago, and prior to the purchase I was in the same position...TJ or KJ. What it came down to was that I was able to get much more for my money with the KJ than the TJ. One dealer wouldnt sell the TJ for less than 13 grand...and that was a 4 banger, totally stock, not even new tires! I got the KJ w/ an extended warranty (everything to 100k miles, 43k when i bought it), all the mopar skids, and new Cooper Discoverer ATs for 12.5 grand out the door. I'm incredibly happy with my choice, the Liberty has done anything I've asked it to do, and the additional space for people/cargo has already come in handy. If you're looking used, the fact is there are better deals out there for Liberties because so many come off lease (like mine).
