The intercooler system is a dual stage system. This isn't new, as dual intercoolers have been common for tight and compact track vehicles for years. What's new, is these are in series and perform in substantially different ways. In street mode, the air-to-air intercooler operates like any other.
In race / track mode, Instead of cutting out the A/C as commonly done by every mfr in the past, they keep it running, and divert 70% of the compressor output to the second intercooler which operates as an A/C-to-air intercooler in the intake tract.
Brilliant!
